A private elementary school in Bodhgaya, India. The school is home to 4 teachers and 170 students. Construction on the brick school was started in 2005 and completed in 2007. The school does not have electricity or running water.
One of the classrooms at our feature school. Temperatures in Bodhgaya often exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The lack of electricity in the school can create a challenging educational environment.
The boys and girls bathroom was built solely from supporter donations. The bathrooms are equipped with one toilet each and do not have running water.

A water pump was previously paid for by supporters. Prior to its installation, teachers and students would have to go off site for water.
